Kawai Piano
Kawai could be known as jack of all trades? But master of none
may be a thing of the past.
Every year I try the latest Kawai models and every year I think
to myself "these pianos are getting better and better".

Lets look at a brief run down of Kawai's piano line up:
Digital pianos - Kawai make a complete range of
digital pianos from beginner models, to compact space savers, right
up to professional all-singing-and-dancing instruments. My personal
opinion is that Kawai digital pianos have a soft feel to the keys
and the sound is generally too bright and harsh.
Verdict: A long way to go before they start competing with Yamaha
or Roland.
Upright pianos - Bright,
harsh, don't like them at all. The retail prices of Kawai
upright pianos are relatively cheap, but hey! you really do
get what you pay for kawai!
Grand pianos - If Kawai is doing SOMETHING
right, then it would be the manufacturing of their grand
pianos. The concert grands are actually very good but the
smaller baby grands still have a hint of that 'harsh' Kawai
sound.
